My deep, dark, guilty pleasure

I have a confession.

Those who know me well know my secret.

Some of those I love share in this dark secret.

It’s a guilty pleasure.

It’s just wrong.

But I like it.

And I can’t wait until Sunday, Sept. 30. Nine o’clock p.m., to be exact.

Yes, you guessed it:

I’m a diehard “Dexter” fan.

“Dexter” is the Showtime series based on books by Jeff Lindsay about a Miami Metro blood-splatter analyst and serial killer, Dexter Morgan, who is — in some twisted way — the good guy, because he only kills bad people who beat the system.

As I’ve mentioned before, I love exceptional writing. This show is a prime example of outstanding writing and character development. Followers of the show have seen Dexter Morgan go from an emotionless, lost soul to one who got married, fathered a child, fell in love, experienced great loss and unearthed why he kills. His internal turmoil runs rampant through the show and has viewers rooting for him to get the love and acceptance he needs.

I don’t want to ruin the show for anyone who hasn’t seen episodes in recent years, so if you haven’t watched the final episode of Season 6, DO NOT watch this video. If you HAVE seen all of Season 6 and are anticipating Season 7, watch the video and prepare to have your mind blown.
